From September 5 to 7, the 38th symposium of GTI (Global TD-LTE Initiative) was held in Istanbul, Turkey. More than 60 international service providers including international organizations like GSMA and 5G-ACIA, China Mobile, Vodafone LSE UK, China Broadcast Network, and high-level leaders and experts from AsiaInfo, Huawei, ZTE, and other industries attended the meeting to discuss the key measures of GTI 3.0 development and share the best practices of 5G for its new capabilities creating new values.
At this meeting, AsiaInfo officially joined the PFLC (Partner Forum Leaders Committee) of GTI, and Dr. Ouyang Ye, CTO and senior vice president of AsiaInfo, and IEEE Fellow, was elected as the Steering Committee Member of the PFLC Management Committee.

At the meeting, Dr. Ouyang Ye delivered a keynote speech entitled Realizing the Symbiotic Computing and Communications with the Computing Power Endogenous Network. Dr. Ouyang Wei pointed out that the computing power endogenous network can realize the symbiotic computing and communications of wireless network through six major technologies: computing power virtualization, computing power scheduling “marginalization”, damage-free network, intelligent scheduling of wireless computing resources, computing power endogenous federated learning, and computing power endogenous network twin simulation, so that wireless networks can run communication and non-communication digital services at the same time, improve the utilization rate of wireless network resources, and help telecom service providers and 5G private network users to achieve subtraction on investment, multiplication on resources and addition on capability.

Introduction to GTI
Founded in 2011, GTI is committed to building a strong TD-LTE ecosystem, accelerating the commercial application and implementation of TD-LTE, and promoting the integration between LTE TDD and FDD. Nowadays, GTI has become an influential international cooperation platform, cooperating with telecom service providers and key manufacturers around the world, accomplished the mission of GTI 1.0, that is, building an end-to-end TD-LTE ecosystem and realizing the global commercialization of TD-LTE and LTE TDD/FDD integration.
GTI 2.0 was officially launched at the GTI Summit held during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on February 23, 2016, aiming to continue to promote the global development of TD-LTE, encourage the integration between TD-LTE and FDD, and foster a cross-industry innovative and collaborative 5G ecosystem. GTI 3.0 was officially launched at the 38th symposium held in Istanbul, Turkey on September 5-7, 2023, in which three goals were cleared: First, to promote the intelligent, efficient and green development of 5G-A technologies and products; Second, to accelerate the integration with DICT technologies to promote the construction of the next generation digital infrastructure; Third, to achieve 5G commercial success and realize value creation.
