But the pressure on server room O&M has increased day by day, and the cost of O&M has also risen. Server room administrators rely on manpower for O&M through paper records, which is time-consuming, laborious and prone to omissions. There are also difficulties such as untimely early warning capability and low asset value development rate.  

With the help of digital twin technology, AsiaInfo has helped Beijing Telecom achieve a 1:1 simulation of three benchmark server rooms and a dynamic model of 180 adopted server rooms. It has completed panoramic visual monitoring and management of assets, environment, monitoring and operations within the server room. Everything physical can be replicated virtually. It has established a smart server room twin, simulating and restoring server buildings, server rooms and equipment to visualize and present full service data at levels of station, building, server room and equipment, effectively solving problems such as poor data quality and low operational efficiency. It has realized intuitive experience displays on large screens even for off-site server rooms.

The 3D server room digital twin visualization platform built by AsiaInfo for Beijing Telecom creates a centralized visual display of equipment, energy consumption, power environments and assets in the data centre server room. It provides different levels of work views and management views by role and management domain, detects faults in a timely manner and issues  early warnings to ensure the safety of the server room property and improve the quality and efficiency of operation and maintenance. 

At the same time, the BMO domain is pulled through to integrate multi-disciplinary data such as associated resources, power environments, access control, network management and alarms to form analysis data with the server room as the perspective and provide decision-making support for operations.
