AsiaInfo Signed a Cooperation Agreement with Chongqing Liangjiang New Area to Promote the High-quality Development of Digital Economy of Chongqing

On September 12, 2020, Liangjiang New Area held a “Cloud Signing” event for key investment projects of the 2020 Smart China Expo. In the meantime, Beijing AsiaInfo Smart Data Technology Co., Ltd., the subsidiary of AsiaInfo Technologies Limited (known as: AsiaInfo, stock code: 01675.HK) carried out a “cloud signing” with Chongqing Liangjiang New Area.

Witnessed by Duan Chenggang, Member of the Standing Committee of Chongqing Municipal Party Committee, Secretary of Party Working Committee and Director of Management Committee of Liangjiang New Area, and Gao Nianshu, Executive Director and CEO of AsiaInfo, Li Yunchuan, Vice President of AsiaInfo, and Liu Feng, Director of Investment Promotion Bureau and President of Investment Group of Chongqing Liangjiang New Area signed an agreement online on behalf of both parties by the means of “screen-to-screen”.

According to the agreement, the corporate digital operation headquarters of AsiaInfo will be located in the direct management area of Liangjiang New Area, and AsiaInfo will promote the “digital economy” strategy of Chongqing through the research and development of big data, cloud computing, and AI technology-based entire chain solutions of corporate digital operation to help government and corporate customers improve internal and external operational efficiency.

According to Li Yunchuan, Vice President of AsiaInfo and General Manager of Digital Operation Division, the corporate digital operation headquarters has “three centers and one platform”. The “three centers” refer to R&D center, incubation center and innovation center. Mainly for the innovative researches of digital technologies, the R&D center will research and develop products in the fields of big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, edge computing, digital twins by introducing AICDE, DaaS, SaaS and other innovative technology methods, which will be applied to five markets including the Internet of Things/Internet of Vehicles, corporate digitization, digital operation, and industry Internet and smart cities; the incubation center will put the scientific research results of the R&D center into practice in industries such as government affairs, police, public services, finance and industrial enterprises, forming a series of successful cases; the innovation center will integrate the mature cases of the incubation center into standardized products, and promote the applications in big data, financial technology, cloud computing, smart cities and other fields through the platform operation model; “One Platform” refers to the cooperation platform. Various cooperation platforms will be built in conjunction with local universities, scientific research institutes, enterprises and government agencies of Chongqing to gather the talents of corporate digital operation, open up product application channels, form industry application plans, and improve the ecology of Chongqing as “a famous smart city”.
