Recently, Gao Nianshu, Executive Director and CEO of AsiaInfo Technologies Limited (“AsiaInfo”, stock code: 01675.HK), and Xia Bing, Secretary of the Communist Party Committee, Director and General Manager of China Mobile Communications Group Beijing Co., Ltd. visited China National Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. (CNNP), and discussed with Ma Mingze, General Manager China Nuclear Power and other leaders on the digital transformation of nuclear power enabled by 5G.
Featured by complex and diverse industry application scenarios, the energy industry confronts with many problems on the road of digital transformation, such as: the communication end is unreachable and the data collection capability is limited; unable to collaborate of internal and external sources in real time, and the communication cost is high; unable to achieve all-round visual supervision on production safety; operation and maintenance efficiency requires significant improvement; limited emergency command and major emergency repair methods, etc., which greatly limit the progress of digital transformation of the industry.
AsiaInfo is one of the few domestic industry software and service providers that are capable of providing IT planning, construction and operation of a full life cycle service model. Recently, AsiaInfo has relied on its relying on “carrier-grade” products, services, operations and integration capabilities to launch 5G smart energy solutions centering on the industrial characteristics of the energy industry, including three major products of 5G full network integration solutions, smart operation and management, and smart production, boosting new infrastructure in the energy industry and accelerating the digital transformation of the industry.
Gao Nianshu said due to the extremely high requirements of the nuclear power industry for safety and security, AsiaInfo hoped to rely on its profound accumulation in 5G, AI, big data, cloud computing and edge computing to integrate with nuclear power production scenarios to form a set of customized products comprising advanced information technologies such as wireless communications. At the same time, it would promote to form strategic alliances among ecological partners to jointly expand businesses in the future.
Xia Bing said that CMCC had great technical advantages in 5G communications and other services. Currently, the application of 5G technology in global industrial scenarios was gaining momentum, the cooperation with CNNP would not only produce better demonstration effects for the entire industry, but have good business development prospects, so that CMCC would mobilize more resources to promote all-round cooperation.
Ma Mingze believed that AsiaInfo and CMCC Beijing were important partners of CNNP. All parties would explore the application scenarios of 5G communications, Internet of Things, big data and other technologies in the nuclear power field together through full coordination, active communication and orderly plan in the follow-up activities, and carry out long-term cooperation in power plant wireless communications, database localization, AI smart analysis and other fields to improve the safe operation of nuclear power plants and achieve a win-win situation for all parties.
