On July 19, 2024, marking the 30th anniversary of China Unicom's establishment, the 2024 China Unicom Partner Conference grandly opened in Shanghai. AsiaInfo, as a leading provider of IT products and services and a strategic partner of China Unicom, showcased its three major product systems of “cloud network”, “digital intelligence” and “IT”, along with solutions and case studies spanning communications, government affairs, energy sources, transportation, and digital operations. Multiple senior executives from AsiaInfo were invited to participate in various events. 


Leading experts and officials such as Zhao Zhiguo, Chief Engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Xia Bing, Deputy Director and Party Member of the National Data Administration, Chen Zhongyue, Executive Director and Party Secretary of China Unicom, Jian Qin, General Manager and Deputy Party Secretary of China Unicom, and Liu Yunjie, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chief Scientist of the Purple Mountain Laboratories, visited the AsiaInfo booth for guidance.

Relying on Full-stack Digital Intelligence Capabilities to Help China Unicom Advance Its “Leveraging Digital Intelligence Enhancing Enterprise” Strategy

AsiaInfo adhered to the overarching theme of “Four Transformations” (i.e., transitioning towards “Product + Service, Software + Hardware, Communications + Non-communications, Domestic + International”) and showcased its comprehensive full-stack digital intelligence capabilities for empowering customers' transformation and upgrading, both domestically and internationally, through two exhibition areas focused on “Product Empowerment” and “Industry Empowerment.”

The “Product Empowerment” exhibition area displayed dozens of integrated software-hardware standard products across the three product systems of “Cloud Network,” “Digital Intelligence,” and “IT.” In the “Cloud Network” domain, a full suite of 5G private network product system and network intelligence products were showcased, all commercially available at scale. The “Digital Intelligence” area featured the recently launched Yuansi industry big model as well as the integrated software-hardware digital intelligence products. The “IT” area presented database products advancing the localization process. These products support enterprises' digital intelligence transformation, facilitating digital upgrades and intelligent processes across hundreds of industries.


The “Industry Empowerment” area showcased solutions and cases in the fields of “Digital-Intelligence Government Affairs,” “Digital-Intelligence Energy Sources,” “Digital-Intelligence Transportation,” and “Digital-Intelligence Operation,” illustrating AsiaInfo's capabilities to support the efficient transformation of government and enterprise customers across industries through consulting and planning, technology products, personalized services, and fine-grained operations. In these industries, AsiaInfo has established extensive and profound partnerships with China Unicom, sharing resources, jointly developing products, and collaborating on projects to create a second growth curve for government and enterprise businesses, jointly pursuing the goal of “Leveraging Digital Intelligence Enhancing Enterprise.”

AsiaInfo x China Unicom, Jointly Building a Digital Intelligence Ecosystem


On the 19th, Dr. Ouyang Ye, CTO and senior vice president of AsiaInfo, and IEEE Fellow, was invited to attend the Artificial Intelligence Innovation and Development Forum, where he, together with Zhu Changbo, CEO of China Unicom Digital Technology Co., Ltd., and senior executives from Alibaba, Tencent, Baidu, and other companies, jointly launched the “Artificial Intelligence Big Model Ecosystem Joint Innovation Consortium.” 5.jpg

On the 20th, Chen Wu, Senior Vice President of AsiaInfo, attended the Digital Intelligence Innovation Forum and, alongside Zhou Chenghua, General Manager of China Unicom Online, and executives from Huawei, ZTE, and other companies, announced the official establishment of the “AI + Digital Intelligence Innovation Consortium.” The Consortium will give full play to the advantages of its member companies to jointly promote the innovation and application of AI technologies.

On the same day, Wang Qinglin, Vice President of AsiaInfo, was invited to participate in the Data Elements and Digital Transformation Forum, where he, along with Geng Xiangdong, General Manager of Inner Mongolia Unicom, Li Lixin, General Manager of Unicom VSENS, Lou Yu, Deputy General Manager of China Unicom's Digitizer Department, and senior executives from Baidu, Nokia-sbell, and other companies, jointly released the “Top Ten Achievements in Digital Intelligence Transformation.” At the conference, he also jointly unveiled the “China Unicom Data Open Platform Plan” with Yu Yan, Vice President of China Unicom's Government & Enterprise Business Department, Dantai Xinpu, Senior Vice President of China Unicom Digital Technology Co., Ltd. and others.

During the conference, China Unicom Global Limited (abbreviated as China Unicom Global) reached an international cooperation strategic agreement with AsiaInfo. Meng Shusen, Chairman of China Unicom Global, and Wang Qinglin, Vice President of AsiaInfo, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties, signifying their commitment to integrate resources, leverage respective strengths, and jointly explore overseas markets.

Looking back on the past three decades, AsiaInfo and China Unicom have walked hand in hand, progressing from 2G to 5G and shifting focus from constructing backbone networks and business support systems to enhance enterprise based on digital intelligence.
