The Report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China elevated the “in-depth integration of digital technologies and the real economy” to an unprecedented strategic height, as outlined in the report. New type of real economy-based enterprises can achieve unique digital capabilities through technological innovation, which in turn drives improvements in supply chain efficiency, facilitates digital transformation, networking, and intelligent development among upstream and downstream enterprises, and injects strong momentum into economic and social transformation. Such enterprises exemplify the integration of digital and real economies, as well as new technologies, industries, business forms, and models, and could be seen as a driving force behind “industrial digitalization” and “digital industrialization”.

The China Enterprises Evaluation Association was established by the Development Research Centre of the State Council in 1991 and is the publisher of a series of authoritative enterprise evaluation lists in China. Since 2021, the association has conducted continuous research on new type of real economy-based enterprises for three years and released reports and lists, aiming to promote the enterprise transformation and high-quality development, as well as taking part in the international competitiveness and providing empirical evidence for government decision-making.

AsiaInfo has always regarded independent innovation as the foundation of its survival and success. It has consistently maintained a high level of stable R&D investment year after year, and has successfully established three major product and service systems, including “Digital Intelligence”, “Cloud Network” and “IT”, as well as the end-to-end full-link support capabilities covering consulting services, product R&D, product delivery, system integration, intelligent decision-making, data operation, and customer services, enabling the digital intelligence transformation of government and enterprise customers in industries such as communications, government affairs, energy sources, transportation, finance.

Meanwhile, AsiaInfo has integrated ESG principles into its production and operational system, firmly taking step in “achieving comprehensive carbon neutrality by 2028”. It has also leveraged digital intelligence technology to assist customers in various industries in achieving their “dual carbon” targets. Furthermore, AsiaInfo has actively built an “One System with Three Rings” ecological cooperation system, joining hands with partners from all walks of life of industry-university-research to explore the path of digital intelligence transformation.

In 2023, AsiaInfo has further proposed the “Four Transformations” strategy based on the “One Consolidation with Three Developments” business strategy, that is: transforming from service-oriented to “product + service”, from software-oriented to “software + hardware”, from communication-oriented to “communication + non-communication”, and from the focus on domestic market to “domestic + international market”. This strategy has comprehensively heralded the exploration of new growth spaces relying on new productivity and promoting the integration of digital and real economies.

As a member of new type of real economy-based enterprises, AsiaInfo will focus on the main development of integrating digital and real economies, deepen its cultivation in digital intelligence industries, and contribute to the high-quality development of China’s economy and society to a new level.
