Recently, the "AI Large Model + Agent" Intelligent Directory Assistance System, jointly developed by AsiaInfo Technologies and Tianjin Unicom, achieved its first tail-number cutover under the 114 service scenario. This milestone marks the official launch of China's first AI large model-powered intelligent directory assistance service in the communication industry, successfully addressing the high-cost challenge of traditional manual service mode. As a national pioneering benchmark, it provides a "Tianjin Sample" for intelligent transformation in the communication industry.
01 "A minor entry point" drives "major breakthrough"
To address the key pain points such as high labor cost and complex multi system coordination in traditional 114 directory assistance service, AsiaInfo Technologies has collaborated closely with the dedicated task force from Tianjin Unicom's Operation Support Center, focusing on "application of large model and agent technology in verticals", deeply integrating the Qwen large model, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and traditional call service platform, and innovatively developing an intelligent large model-powered voice service architecture which is based on "data-driven, optimized workflow and knowledge empowerment" and able to efficiently replace the manual directory assistance.
As China's first multiagent collaborative architecture for voice directory assistance, this system has pioneered a dual-engine framework integrating "AI large model + agent". It dynamically leverages tools such as the Qwen large model and API interface according to the service scenarios and rules, enabling human-like directory assistance workflow and achieving a leap in core capability from "human intervention" to "intelligent interaction" in terms of directory assistance service.
During the trial operation, this system has achieved a filtering rate exceeding 80%, far surpassing the industry average and realizing nationwide leadership. This system achieves "major breakthrough" from "a minor entry point" in 114 service, providing the communication industry with a replicable and practical sample in terms of digital-intelligent transformation.
02 AsiaInfo Technologies: Systematic delivery of large model
AsiaInfo Technologies has demonstrated an early-mover advantage and rapid implementation capabilities in large model delivery services.
In the first half of 2024, AsiaInfo Technologies launched the AISWare Insights · LLMs for Verticals, a large model product system for various industries, focusing on the three levels "Platform, Model, and Tool", and integrating general AI and augmented cognition. The product system consists of two platforms, including the general AI & technology augmented cognition platform (Technology Augmented Cognition MaaS, for short as TAC MaaS) and the AI agent platform (AI Agent Platform, for short as AAP)+ 5 industry-specific large models+N augmented cognition tools adapted to specific application scenarios.
