On December 10, 2024, on the eve of the 70th anniversary of China's nuclear industry development, the largest 5G private network for nuclear power in China, the Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant 5G Private Network in Haiyan, Zhejiang Province, jointly built by China Mobile System Integration Co., Ltd., China Nuclear Power Engineering Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Mobile, AsiaInfo, and China Nuclear Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd., was officially launched. Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant has thus become China's first nuclear power base to achieve the synchronous launch of a 5G private network across multiple plant areas.

Haiyan Branch, and other leaders and project team members attended the launch ceremony to jointly announce the official launch of the Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant 5G Private Network.

Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant is China's first nuclear power plant, designed, built, operated, and managed domestically, marking a significant milestone in the development of China's nuclear industry. The construction of this 5G private network involved overhauls of nine units, installing more than 12,000 devices, and laying over one million meters of cables, achieving interworking and interconnection among the nuclear power management network, administrative telephone network, industrial video network, and other networks. This overcame the long-standing fundamental challenge of lacking high-speed wireless network signals in nuclear power plant buildings and laid a solid network foundation for Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant to achieve digital transformation and build a "5G + Digital Intelligence Nuclear Power Plant." Meantime, this project set a record for completing the overhaul of one unit in 15 days and overhauling and deploying 5G tasks for two units within 28 days!

As the planner, builder, and provider of 5G private network products and solutions, AsiaInfo and its partners delivered the project ahead of schedule by 16 months while maintaining quality and quantity, fully demonstrating its expertise as a "5G Private Network Expert in Vertical Industries."

Currently, AsiaInfo has established an efficient, stable, safe, and reliable 5G private network hardware and software product system, forming an end-to-end full-stack service capability covering private network planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance, and integration. AsiaInfo's nuclear power 5G private network, centered on the aforementioned products, integrates 5G equipment that meets stringent conditions such as electromagnetism and radiation for unique nuclear power production environments. It has been implemented in nuclear power bases such as Qinshan in Zhejiang and Changjiang in Hainan.
