On September 12, during the 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services, AsiaInfo Technologies (China), Inc. signed a cooperation agreement with Hainan Fullsing town Industrial Park Investment Management Co., Ltd. of Hainan Free Trade Port. Both parties will thoroughly implement the “Overall Plan for the Construction of Hainan Free Trade Port” and engage in comprehensive and deep cooperation. The next day, relevant leaders from Hainan Provincial Department of Commerce, Department of Industry and Information Technology, and Department of Science and Technology, as well as representatives from industrial parks, visited the Zpark in Beijing and made a memorable trip to AsiaInfo, where Chen Wu, Senior Vice President of AsiaInfo, hosted them.

AsiaInfo Signs Cooperation Agreement with Hainan Free Trade Port Park

According to the agreement, both parties will leverage their respective strengths and engage in open cooperation to jointly support the construction, operation, and international and domestic business development of the Hainan Free Trade Port.

AsiaInfo will establish an international business center in Hainan, leveraging the internationalization, cross-border, and overseas economic characteristics and regional advantages of Hainan Free Trade Port, as well as the opportunity for the port to serve as a pilot to open value-added telecommunication services. Focusing on three core positions: “Data Elements X Capability R&D Innovation, Digital Economy Demonstration Benchmark, and International Technology Outbound Bridgehead,” the company will rely on AsiaInfo's outstanding digital products, service capabilities, and extensive international and domestic business experience to work with the Hainan government to promote the global and domestic business of the Free Trade Port to a higher level.

Relevant Hainan Departments Conduct Research and Inspection at AsiaInfo

On September 13, Zheng Shaoqun, Second-level Inspector of Hainan Provincial Department of Commerce, Wu Jianhong, Second-level Inspector of Hainan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, and Li Junfeng, First-level Inspector of Hainan Provincial Department of Science and Technology, led a delegation from Hainan Provincial Departments of Commerce, Industry and Information Technology, Science and Technology, and industrial parks to visit the AsiaInfo Innovation Exhibition Center, accompanied by Chen Wu and others.

The delegation members expressed their deep appreciation for AsiaInfo's commitment to independent innovation, empowering hundreds of industries with digital intelligence technology, and achieving outstanding results. They noted that Hainan is a hotbed of openness and innovation and is now leveraging the policies, location, and industrial advantages of building a Free Trade Port to forge a bridgehead for commercial and cultural exchanges between mainland China and Southeast Asia, continuously optimizing the business environment and advancing an export-oriented economic development. They hoped that high-tech enterprises represented by AsiaInfo could find new development opportunities in Hainan, join hands with Hainan, integrate into the region, and jointly forge new productivity to drive Hainan's construction and development.

Chen Wu stated that after 31 years of development, AsiaInfo has become a leading provider of information technology products and services, having developed full-stack digital intelligence capabilities covering consulting and planning, product research and development, implementation and delivery, system integration, intelligent decision-making, data operation, and customer service. Currently, AsiaInfo is actively expanding into domestic and international markets, hoping to fully participate in the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port and leverage Hainan's locational and policy advantages to promote its independently developed software, hardware products, and related services to the international market.
