Recently, AsiaInfo has discovered that certain illegal websites and individuals have been impersonating “AsiaInfo” or its subsidiaries and employees, asking for the installation of purported “AsiaInfo” apps, mini apps, or other media, and engaging in fraudulent activities under the guise of “deposit and loan,” “part-time job recruitment,” “film and television promotion,” “agency cooperation,” “book club exchange,” and other pretences.

AsiaInfo hereby issues a solemn statement:

AsiaInfo is a high-tech enterprise recognized by the country and has never requested individual users to install apps, mini apps, or other media named “AsiaInfo.” Furthermore, we would not, under any pretence including but not limited to “deposit and loan,” “part-time job recruitment,” “discount shopping,” “film and television promotion,” “agency cooperation,” “book club exchange,” etc., require individual users to pay any fees.

We advise friends from all walks of life to avoid easily believing online information to prevent damage to personal property and privacy! If you discover any rights infringement, we recommend immediately reporting it to the local public security authorities!

Cyberspace is not a place beyond the rule of law! Regarding the aforementioned fraudulent activities, AsiaInfo has already reported them to the relevant authorities and reserves the right to take further steps. We are willing to work with all sectors of society to combat illegal activities and uphold our legitimate rights and interests and those of the public.
