The “AsiaInfo Day” special air event, one of China Unicom’s online series of activities of new ecological cooperation for 5G terminal industry chain - “Vitalization Action 2020”, kicked off on March 24. Gao Nianshu, Executive Director and CEO of AsiaInfo, and Fan Yunjun, Deputy General Manager of China Unicom Group, attended the event and delivered speeches.

Fan Yunjun said that China Unicom has closely cooperated with AsiaInfo for 20 years. At the moment when digital information technology represented by 5G promotes industrial transformation and in the process of accelerating the economic and social digital transformation under the epidemic, China Unicom is firmly committed to the responsibility of a a central enterprise to play an important role in digital transformation, epidemic prevention and control, and assisting various industries to resume work and production. He also expressed his gratitude for the agile, efficient and professional service guarantee provided by AsiaInfo in the frontline work of Hubei, as well as the crucial work of the Soft Research Institute and E-commerce Center.

Gao Nianshu said that, as the most important IT construction partner of China Unicom, AsiaInfo has been actively transforming to support China Unicom to become a digital enterprise and evolve towards a platform enterprise and an ecological enterprise. Meanwhile, AsiaInfo has established a "one consolidation, three developments" strategy for the future. It will better adapt to the “cloud-network-edge-terminal-industry”and other business needs of China Unicom through organizational changes, talent training and refined management. It will help the digital transformation of large enterprises in various industries through its strong capabilities in product, service, operation and integration.

5G innovation and upgrade to promote the acceleration of “new infrastructure”

During the following signing ceremony, Wang Qiming, the General Manager of Terminal and Channel Support Center of China Unicom (VSENS), and An Xiaoming, Vice President of AsiaInfo and the General Manager of Business Division of China Unicom, respectively signed the relevant agreement on the 5G terminal application cooperation and innovation center. Hence, AsiaInfo has officially become a member of 5G terminal application innovation center of China Unicom. Both parties will integrate upstream and downstream cooperative forces in 5G application innovation and ecological cooperation to launch a more extensive and profound cooperation in an all-around manner. Fan Yunjun and Gao Nianshu witnessed the signing.

Both parties also jointly launched the AsiaInfo Online Exhibition Hall, This online platform utilizes the self-developed 3D visualization technology to integrate 5G, cloud computing, AI, big data, the Internet of Things and technologies, products solutions and related services that empower the enterprise digitalization, and satisfy the internal and external communication needs through flexible visualization methods.

Exploring new scenarios for 5G applications  Embracing big ecosystem of IT evolution

In the theme sharing and interaction session, Dr. Ouyang Ye, the Vice President and CTO of AsiaInfo, Zhang Yunyong, the General Manager of China Unicom Product Center, An Xiaoming, the Vice President of AsiaInfo and General Manager of China Unicom Business Division, Geng Xiangdong, the General Manager of China Unicom Software Research Institute, Fan Wenxin, the Deputy General Manager of China Unicom Business Division of AsiaInfo, and Chen Fengwei, the Deputy General Manager of Terminal and Channel Support Center of China Unicom (VSENS), respectively gave theme sharing and interacted on exploring new scenarios for 5G applications, the evolution of “Big IT” middle-ground, and building a supply chain support system, etc.

In the theme activity of“Exploring new scenarios for 5G applications Embracing big ecosystem of IT evolution”, Ouyang Ye, the Vice President and CTO of AsiaInfo, explained AsiaInfo's 5G support concept of “Global Virtualization, Global Intelligence, Global Perception”, and shared B&O-integrated 5G customer experience management, B&O-integrated 5G network slicing technology and corresponding application scenarios. Zhang Yunyong, the General Manager of China Unicom Product Center, pointed out that China Unicom launched policies to guarantee industry production and operation during combating the epidemic, while leveraging the capabilities of infrastructure, terminal applications and platform construction to empower and provide intelligent services for vertical industries.

In the sharing of “Embracing the Big IT Ecology Exploring New Ideas on the Evolution of Middle-ground”, An Xiaoming summarized the transformation of the core business operation of AsiaInfo and China Unicom over the past 20 years, and said that AsiaInfo will continue to cooperate with China Unicom in the future to build a unified middle-ground support system and explore the road of wise middle-ground. Geng Xiangdong, the General Manager of China Unicom Software Research Institute, said that China Unicom is committed to implementing the strategy of focusing on innovation and cooperation, focusing on the key work of “1+3+3” to solidly promote comprehensive digital transformation and implement the middle-ground strategy of China Unicom. He also reinterpreted the definition and construction mode of middle-ground.

In the sharing themed “Serving the Supply Chain of VSENS: Create a Dual-Chain Support System Be More Vigorous after Epidemic”, Fan Wenxin, the Deputy General Manager of China Unicom Business Division of AsiaInfo, explained the four characteristics of the "dual-chain support system" serving the supply chain of VSENS in detail. He said that during the epidemic period, the online channel sales achieved excellent performance with sales increased by 500% compared with the same period of last year. Chen Fengwei, the Deputy General Manager of Terminal and Channel Support Center of China Unicom (VSENS), said that the “big market: system reform is a signal of comprehensive operational transformation. China Unicom will continue to upgrade four aspects of 5G terminal, universal standard, favorable price and ubiquitous terminal, enhance the transformation of terminal products and agile supply chains, and cooperate with upstream and downstream partners in depth to prepare for the new future of the industry chain.

“Vitalization Action 2020” is an online activity for the new ecology of industry chain launched by China Unicom in response to the 5G market situation influenced by the epidemic.
